Registering for online classes at other TCSG colleges
Effective immediately, all Technical College System of Georgia colleges will deliver their online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses with the ANGEL learning management system, instead of Blackboard. This migration has been sudden, but is promised to deliver excellent support to all TCSG students and faculty. Because CVTC online faculty members are new to the application, they are working quickly to gain experience with it, and will communicate this to you, their online students, as efficiently as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 are the supported web browsers for using ANGEL. All students and instructors should check to ensure they have a supported web browser on any affected personal computer prior to the start of Summer Quarter. You can download browser software and updates from the following links:
*Firefox version 2 is the officially supported version of Firefox for use with Angel. Firefox version 3 was released recently (in mid-June) and is still being tested with Angel. If you would like to get Firefox version 2, you can do that here.
We ask for your patience as we make this migration; know that the goal of this change is to improve the quality of your online instruction experience. If students work diligently with faculty within the ANGEL system, the transition should be smooth. CVTC and all TCSG colleges have been promised excellent customer support from ANGEL; we look forward to accomplishing the move as easily as possible.
If you have not already done so, please SEND AN E-MAIL TO YOUR ONLINE INSTRUCTOR DURING THE FIRST THREE DAYS OF INSTRUCTION FOR SUMMER QUARTER (July 8, 9 and 10). Failure to do so will result in your counting as a "No Show" and you will be removed from the course.
An increasing number of CVTC’s core and occupational classes are available for online completion through Georgia Virtual Technical College (GVTC). Online learning removes barriers of time and location that can prevent students from pursuing educational opportunities and many students excel in online classes; however, distance learning is not ideal for all students; some people learn best by interacting face to face with the instructor and fellow students.
