CVTC Announces Second Year of Summer Manufacturing Camp

Coosa Valley Technical College is very pleased to announce our second year of offering a great summer camp experience for area youth ages 14-16. CVTC’s Summer Manufacturing Camp will be held June 9-13, 2008 on the Floyd County Campus. Approximately 30 participants will attend hands-on sessions with knowledgeable instructors in the areas of robotics, computer-assisted drafting, machine tool, injection molding, and industrial electronics. One day of the camp will be devoted to industrial tours of Pirelli Tire, F&P Georgia, and Suzuki Manufacturing. The schedule of activities is listed below.

Thanks to tremendous community support and a grant from the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, tuition for the week-long camp is a very reasonable $35. Checks are to be made payable to Coosa Valley Technical College.

Interested participants may stop by CVTC’s Floyd County Campus to register. For more information about CVTC’s Summer Camp, please contact Tom Sills at 706-295-6538 or via email at tsills@coosavalleytech.edu.
