GED Testing at CVTC

Age Requirements

Applicants 18 and 19 years of age will need a valid government issued photo I.D., $95, and proof of withdrawal from the last school attended. Applicants age 16 and 17 must receive special permission from the State of Georgia Office of Adult Literacy prior to taking the GED Test. Please call any Adult Education Center or the GED testing center for further information. You will also need to have a valid government issued photo I.D., $95, and proof of withdrawal from the last school you attended. Those who pass the GED Tests are awarded the General Educational Development Diploma, and most are eligible for a $500.00 HOPE voucher from the State of Georgia to defray costs of continuing education at eligible schools. Registration is conducted in: -the GED TESTING CENTER OFFICE, Building B, Suite 110, Floyd County campus -the Polk Adult Learning Center, Polk County Campus -the Gordon County Adult Learning Center, Gordon County Campus Applicants must register in advance. The registration process takes approximately 30 minutes. The $95 registration fee can be paid by Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or Money Order. A government issued I.D. must be presented at the time of registration. Acceptable forms of I.D. include: driver's license, passport, government I.D. card, or motor vehicle department card which shows name, address, date of birth, signature and photograph. Transcripts and diplomas will be sent to your mailing address.

Already taken the test?

GED Transcript Request Form

If you have completed the GED Test, you will receive your official scores and diploma within 4 to 6 weeks. If you need a replacement GED Diploma or Official Transcripts, you will need to print the GED Transcript Request Form, complete all the requested information, and mail with the appropriate funds to the address on the top of the form .
